Airdrie Regional Airshow 2013
Was all Stampeded out, and looking for an activity that involved my teen-aged son and some fresh air! Caught an ad for the Airdrie Regional Airshow and thought it was exactly what we were looking for.
Tickets were cheaper online and easily obtainable in advance – even for a last minute decision. Free bus shuttles ran from CrossIron Mills Mall helping avoid traffic congestion and a $5 parking fee.
Super Dave Mathieson, Sean D. Tucker from Team Oracle and Kent Pietsch with his bright yellow ‘Jelly Belly‘ plane were just a few of the high fliers who took to the skies showcasing their fun and fearless feats in a variety of aircraft. The appearance of a Canadian Forces CF-18 Hornet and the Canadian Snowbirds (have to give you a Wikipedia page because the government page links are all broken <<sigh>>) rounded out an impressive show.

The next show is in 2015 so check it out!
