Lee Anne & Curtis – simply elegant wedding
This was the first time I’ve ever shot a wedding where I didn’t meet the groom until the week before the event, or the bride until the day of. Their crazy schedules involving business travel and medical on-call left free moments few and far between. No worries though – I knew they were both in good hands with Lesley as their planner, and I’m the type of person who is comfortable walking into the somewhat unknown. As it was not the first wedding for either, they were more interested in the intimacy of sharing the celebration with family and close friends.
Mother nature cooperated for the outdoor ceremony at their home. It was slightly cooler than normal for the the time of year, but no rain – the only minor downside was a forest fire haze/mist blocking views of the mountains, which would have been spectacular from their property. At the request of the minister, no photos were taken during the ceremony – the first time I’ve seen everyone ‘unplugged‘, including the professional photographer. It was nice to see everyone appreciating the ceremony without screens in front of their faces!
As always, Magical Moments worked wonders turning a tent into an oasis of ivory elegance.
Family and friends thoroughly enjoyed the day, Lee Anne’s Dad kicked up a storm on the dance floor …
And even a sunset to wrap the evening up.
