Steve & Charity’s Country Chic Wedding

When you have the right planner, it’s amazing what you can pull together with short notice. At the beginning of June I received a ‘finger’s x’d’ email from Lesley, one of my favourite planners, asking if I was available for one of the most popular dates in August. Through pure luck, I was – the only Saturday available that month!  Lesley’s close friends Steve & Charity had decided to tie the knot – sooner, rather than later, enlisting her help.   With her usual magic, and several small miracles, Lesley and her team pulled it off.

The GoldenRod Community Hall west of Airdrie added some country chic flair to an outdoor ceremony.  Mother nature provided some wicked storms south of Calgary that day, but to the north she cooperated.  Overcast is actually nice for non-glary photos, and making lush greens and other colours pop!

Little Molly provided the requisite cuteness, and laughter and held up well in her role as flowergirl.

We covered a lot of ground in a 4-hour package. Dewitt’s Pond provided a gorgeous backdrop for our family photos, then Big Hill Springs Provincial Park provided beauty and a lot of laughter with the bridal party!

She was absolutely adorable Jo! Full of personality, and for a little one not even two yet, she held up amazingly well!
