Year In Review – Events – The People

In Calgary, Corporate Photography, Event Photography, Photography

Can’t have an event without people, and you can’t have a successful event if people aren’t enjoying themselves.  I recently discovered I’m a “memorologist” – yes, it’s a made up word.   But as people create memories, I get to capture them.  As memories fade, the images don’t!

Whether it’s a small child beaming over a face painting, the volunteers crucial to keeping a major event running smoothly, or the enthusiasm of conference attendees and awards recipients bursting with pride, I’m spoiled for choice.  I’d initially planned to narrow this down to my top 12 photos of the year.   I struggled to do that.

How could I leave out the brave volunteers keeping people away from a wasp’s nest at Globalfest?  Or the enthusiastic participants in the Calgary White Hat ceremony? Or the folks who told me I ‘helped make our conference extra special’ and gave me two thumbs up.

So I bring you some of my favourites.  Trust me, this could have been 100+ images!  Love the couple giving out free hugs!

These are wonderful pics, Suzan. I just love the dog with Santa (brilliant)! Glad to hear you’re a memorologist – what a great word 😀
